The Miller Family - Dickinson Family Photography

You know you're doing the right thing when you don't want to stop working. Such was the case with the Miller Family, we could have taken a million pictures all day and all night and just had a blast doing it! After the session Kim (the hot mom) told me the kids are now inspired to be photographers!! How awesome is that!! Here's a few of my favorites from their session. Keep an eye out for them because we are doing another session soon!! :-)

Jeremy & Kristin Galveston Engagement

Jeremy and Kristin are both great friends of me and my husband. I can not put into words how excited I am that they are getting married in..... wait for it....... JAMAICA!!! YAYYY Destination Wedding!!!! I just can't wait it's going to be ridiculously beautiful :-) As you can see, Jeremy and Kristin are easy on the eyes but they are also totally amazingly sweet and charming. I had a really easy job photographing these two! Can't wait for the wedding!!

Braden the cuddleumpkin

I am so excited to show off this sweet baby!! I had the pleasure of meeting Braden and his wonderful family during spring break. I love meeting with other moms and having the conversations only mothers can have. There is nothing like two moms chatting about Dora the Explorer, breast feeding, temper tantrums, and poopie pants. That is my life and I am so happy that I am not alone on that! haha So Rosalie was my assistant in this shoot, she helped entertain and brought toys and a juice box for Braden's big sis :-) Can't wait till she can hold a light or reflector for me!

Look at this little smushy face! Ahhhh, so cute!!!

INSTAPROOFS!!

I have been using Instaproofs.com since I started my business a few years ago. Last month when I logged into my account I saw that they were having a contest for new pictures to use on their website. I did'nt think too much about it when I sent in 5 of my photos. I've entered photo contests before and get my hopes up for nothing. So this time I told myself and tried real hard not to think about it! And can you believe it...... I WON!!!!! O My GOD!!!! I can't believe it!

My husband and my mom both asked me "So did you win any money?" and the answer is unfortunatly no. BUT I won something better and something that is way harder to come by as a photographer, RECOGNITION. I won the honor of having my picture displayed to other photographers as a deserving "good" picture. That is so awesome, I finally get someone to tell me that my pictures are good other than my mom and husband who I don't always believe :-)

Here is the winning picture, which is funny because this dog won my "Let Me Shoot Your Dog" photo contest. Cassius the Great Dane is a winner, he should play the lottery! haha

And here is a screen shot of the photo used on the Instaproofs website

YAAAAYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Elianna and Annie

If you know the mother of these beautiful girls, you know Elianna is a blessing and a little angel. Annie is now a big girl, like a teenager in a tiny body, but no doubt she is an amazing big sister! So glad I got the opportunity to capture these two beautiful girls! Lots of love!!!

Knepp Wedding

"We are all a little weird, and lifes's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutual weirdness and call it love." - Dr. Seuss

The words on the invitation say it all. This wedding was the most unique and amazing wedding I've ever been to (and I've been to alot). Nothing about the wedding was boring or "traditional" , which made it sooo much fun. I have known Crystal for a while now, she is not your average bride, by that I mean she is not the type to gush over the flowers (she had feathers) or freak about the cake (it was Vegan) She walked down the aisle to a Deftones song, how much cooler can you get! The vows were Dr. Seuss and the ring got lost in a groomsman shoe. There was lots of dancing, fighting, and keg stands and at the end of the night the bride and groom were arrested (just for fun, not really!) Best Wedding EVER!!! Just sayin....

Crystal and RJ, I love you guys. Just wanted to thank you for not only letting me photograph your wedding but thank you for being such great friends and having me and Jason be apart of yalls big day!!!
